The 5th International Symposium "Music Therapy and Adolescents" in Jyväskylä on June 3 was focussed on Music Therapy and Education. The lectures by Katrina McFerran, Philippa Derrington, Andreas Wölfl, Viggo Krüger, Josephine Geipel, Emily Carlson, Ingeborg Nebelung and Suvi Saarikallio as well as the presentations by Mikko Myllykoski and Andy Danso presented and discussed important aspects of cooperation, interactions and context between music therapy and school as well as new research projects in the field of music therapy work with adolescents. Many thanks to Suvi Saarikallio and the University of Jyväskylä for inviting and organizing the symposium!

Next year, the 6th International Symposium "Music Therapy and Adolescents" will be held on November 29, 2019, by Katrina McFerran at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Interested parties in work and research on music therapy with young people are welcome. Thematic focuses and further information will be announced in the run-up to the symposium by Katrina McFerran and the University of Melbourne as host of the symposium
