We would like to thank our donors and supporters
With the support of the cultural department of the state capital Munich, we have been able to offer and implement drum power projects at Munich elementary, secondary and special needs schools on a regular basis since May 2020. This allows us to implement some projects at Munich schools every year without additional financial support. It turns out that the demand for DrumPower projects is very high. Therefore, we are happy about the continued support from foundations and private sponsors.
Music Foundation Barbara Weidinger
The Music Foundation Barbara Weidinger has been supporting the development and implementation of DrumPower projects in schools for many years. With their support, several projects could be carried out annually in Munich and in Erlangen/Nürnberg. In addition, they supported new project in schools throughout Bavaria, such as in Mengkofen in the district of Dingolfing-Landau. In conjunction with other sponsors, they also enabled significant special initiatives such as a cooperation project with the Nürnberg Philharmonic Orchestra, which had a special impact on the students and was well recognized by the public.
As the main sponsor, they financed the two major scientific studies and thus helped the project method to great recognition. In the studies, the positive effect of the project work was demonstrated in cooperation with independent scientists. This led to an increased recognition of the project method in practice and to attention and acceptance at the scientific level, beyond the borders of Germany.
With all these fundings, the Music Foundation Barbara Weidinger is a very important sponsor for the well-founded practice of the DrumPower projects and a reliable partner for the long-term planning and dissemination of our music therapy initiative for the prevention of violence in schools.
